Tracking Success at Still!
Brittany finished up her track season with Still Middle School yesterday and they did extremely well! Brittany was not feeling well at all (sore throat, headache and chills) and the poor thing ran her heart out in the 800 Meter Relay (where she ran the 400 meter leg). Although her team came in last, Brittany gave it her all and didn’t quit, even though she was sick. She fared better in the triple jump, however, reaching her personal best of 22 feet, 8 1/2 inches. She was very happy with this! 🙂
Up until now, Still Middle School had never won anything major in their conference meet. Yesterday, the tide turned! The 7th grade boys team took first place overall in their division and were named conference champions! The 8th grade boys team took second place in their division and both the 7th and 8th grade girls’ teams placed 3rd. Way to go Still! They will get a big conference champions banner and other recognitions placed up on the walls the school!
